The guarantee
We guarantee that your entire manuscript is read — every page, first to last, under the same controlled conditions.
The read begins at your first pages. If the system finds there that it cannot honestly read your manuscript at the level a final beta read demands — including a manuscript that is not written in English, which today it does not read, we stop. There is no delivery. You are told plainly, and your payment is refunded in full.
We would rather return your money than hand you a verdict we don't believe in.
What the price covers
One read, one fee: the findings, the two deliverables and the Elevation Walkthrough. There is no upgrade and nothing further to buy.
Free seats
Free seats are free. There is nothing to pay, and so there is nothing to refund.
Anything else
Anything this page does not cover is as stated at purchase. Write to support@lovingmywords.com and a person will answer.
When a refund is given, and when it is not
The read is the service. Once your manuscript has been read — every page, first to last — the read has been delivered, and the two briefs are its record. Payment is for that read.
If a part of a brief reaches you incomplete, or a page of it does not meet our own standard, that is ours to make right: we correct the brief and send it again, at no charge. An incomplete page is not an unread book, and it is not grounds for a refund.
A refund in full is given when the read did not happen: we stopped at your first pages because we could not honestly read your manuscript at the level a final beta read demands, or it was not written in English, or the read was interrupted on our side and could not be completed. In either case you are told plainly and your payment is returned.
A refund is not given for a change of mind after the read, for a manuscript that was changed after it was submitted (a changed manuscript is a new read), or for disagreement with a finding — every finding is our considered opinion, measured against the industry standard and comparable published work, and whether you apply it, modify it or decline it is always yours.
